The Santa Fe Animal Shelter
The Santa Fe Animal Shelter is currently looking for volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities to choose from both on site and off-site and they really appreciate the help. Opportunities range from interacting with animals, all the way to fundraising.
If you have any interest, questions, or ideas, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator Devin White either by e-mail at dwhite@sfhumanesociety.org or by phone at (505)983-4309 ext. 128. For additional information or to sign up to volunteer check our website at www.sfhumanesociety.org .
A note from Kathy Tolbert: Devin said they appreciate the dog beds very much! But it turns out that they use them in the cat rooms since they don't get chewed on in there. So if you are interested, they would appreciate any that are donated. The cat room is quite a boutique hotel at the shelter with large glass walls for viewing. The quilts really show off those homeless cats :-)
Carol Haynes has been a leader in providing “pet beds” to the Animal Shelter. If you would like to help, please contact Carol at chaynes06@gmail.com. Additionally, Linda Robinson has collected a large amount of scrap batting and fabrics for pet beds; if you are interested in using some of these supplies, please Linda at lsrstitch@gmail.com.
